Almost 3 months on Instagram
On the 1st of May 2017, I posted the first photo on Instagram. Since then, I’ve posted 59 more photos, therefore around 20 photos/month. I know some of my readers don’t use this application, and I also know I want to keep these photos no matter what happens to the application, so I thought I could post here some of my favourite photos from my Instagram account. For more photos, you can follow me on Instagram. And if you have an Instagram account, tell me about it in a comment below. Converting a van into a motorhome – our family’s DYI project
You might’ve already guessed that we love travelling with our kids. We have always enjoyed discovering new places, encountering new people, admiring new views and learning about other cultures. We used to dream of going on a trip with a caravan, all the way to Japan. Yes, through all the Asia! Obviously, this was just a dream, but it was a nice thing to think about especially when we were tired and a holiday seemed too far away. After moving to London and buying a car two years later, we started travelling throughout the south and east of the UK. We fell in love with the geography of this part…

Visiting the Museum of Carriages with kids – a day out in Maidstone
We were having a lovely Saturday in front of us and no plans. I decided to look on the map as we love to travel (I’ve shared our travelling adventures here). I picked a town in which we hadn’t been before: Maidstone. The family didn’t know how to feel about this at first. Then the kids got curious when I told them about the Museum of Carriages (official website here). The 14th-century stables of the medieval Archbishop’s Palace complex houses the museum. It is home to a unique collection of horse-drawn vehicles and transport curiosities. When you enter the museum, the ticket office is on your left. That’s where you can also…

Mini Run London to Brighton – 2017
London to Brighton Mini Run is a lovely event that took place on the 20-21 May 2017. It is an event that is held annually since 1985 and is organised by the London & Surrey Mini Owners Club. The run starts from Crystal Palace Park in London on Sunday at 8:30 am. The cars usually gather in Crystal Palace on the Saturday afternoon before the actual day of the Mini Run. We were lucky enough to find out about this event on Friday so we were able to go and have a look on Saturday. Crystal Palace Park is pretty big and we weren’t sure exactly where the camping site…

Guide to Bekonscot Model Village — a day out with children near London
Beaconsfield is located 23.6 miles / 38 km WNW of London (or 18 minutes drive from Heathrow). It is home to a lovely miniature museum in the open air. Called Bekonscot Model Village, it is “the world’s oldest and original model village”, and it’s a perfect place for a family day out with children. Created by Roland Callingham in the 20s, it was intended to delight Roland and his friends (source). After becoming open to the public, over 14.000.000 visited the village (June 2016). HRM Queen Elizabeth visited the miniature world on the day the turned 8 (source). We visited Bekonscot Model Village with the children in June 2016 for the first time.…

Your guide to Legoland Windsor – a day out with kids
We visited Legoland Windsor with the kids for the first time in April 2017. This post is about how the day was. It includes photos and some helpful tips in case you plan to spend a day out there. My son likes Lego but this is not the reason we chose to go to Legoland on Spring break. The thing is, we had some Tesco Clubcard vouchers to spend. While I was navigating through the options (which were Legoland, Safari and Zoo), my son saw a photo of some kids driving Lego cars. And that was it! He likes Lego but he loves driving cars (this is one of the…
